"Going From
Not Now
to
Right Now"

"Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? MINE HOUR IS NOT YET COME. His mother saith unto the servants, WHATSOEVER HE SAITH UNTO YOU, DO IT". John 2:4-5 KJV (Capitals are mine for emphasis)

THIS IS WHEN OUR DECISION OVERRIDES OUR DESTINY

When someone runs interference, and agrees with us in faith, even Jesus can change His pronouncement of "Not now" to "Right now". It may not always be true, but there are moments when the Lord will "move up the time schedule" on our behalf. But, we must recognize the unusual opportunity and "seize the moment". This is when our decision overrides our destiny. The right choice can cause the miracle which was previously denied to make its way into our lives, and be fully manifested.

JESUS HAD NOT PLANNED TO PERFORM HIS FIRST MIRACLE AT THE RECEPTION OF THE WEDDING IN CANA OF GALILEE

Jesus had not planned to perform His first miracle at the reception of the wedding in Cana of Galilee. When the hosts ran out of wine for the guests, Mary, His mother, mentioned it to Jesus. His answer to her was, "My time is not yet come". In other words, "The miracles will come eventually, but not now. This is not the time or place".

SHE DID NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER, AS SHE CHANGED HIS "NOT NOW" TO "RIGHT NOW"

But, Mary was not satisfied with that answer. She went on to instruct the servants to obey whatever instructions Jesus might give them, as she urged, "Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it". She did not take no for an answer, as she changed His "Not now" to "Right now". Mothers have a certain influence on their sons, even when they are grown, and have left home. Jesus had no choice but to command the hired help, "Fill the pots with water".

AND, THUS, WE HAVE THE FIRST MIRACLE OF JESUS ON RECORD

In the presence of their Creator, the water blushed and was turned into the best wine of the feast. And, thus, we have the first miracle of Jesus on record. "Faith talk" will reach the spirit of Jesus, and touch His heart, causing Him to honor our decision for something wonderful to happen, not tomorrow, or next week, or next year, but now.

HE KNOWS THE RIGHT TIME FOR THE MIRACLE TO TRANSPIRE

Now, a word of caution. If for some reason Jesus decides the timing is not right, do not be disappointed or discouraged. He knows the right time for the miracle to transpire. We must also remember that there was a present need which was urgent, and something had to be done. But, the point of this message is when someone chides you for your hesitancy, and comes to spur your faith, it is quite possible that the "Not now" can be changed into the "Right now".
